Maybellline Super Stay 24 hr lip color review: Swatches to come!

AMAZING! is one word to describe! When I swatched this on my hand it lasted days on me! On my lips it lasted about 10 hours! Believe me if something lasts 10 hours on me double it and that's how long it wil stay on you! Seriously, nothing stays on me...
Anways, I got this is Always Heather, a purple- mauve with beautiful gold shimmer. I fell in love with this color, I especially love purple- mauves. This is two sided with the color on one end and conditioning balm on th other. You are supposed to apply the color and then you wait for it to dry and apply the balm. Even though the balm is good, i wish they would cut it out and just give more color. I say this becuase I have tried may other sheer lip glosses or lip balms over it and they are just as conditioning and don't affect the wear or color at all! Some examples are Bobbi Brown High shimmer lip gloss, MAC dazzleglass, and Buxom Big and Healthy Lip polish.
I wish they gave us more color because every time I use it I get scared about how much I have left, because the balm takes up half the space! But ohter than that, I have NO complaints about this products whatsoever! I highly recommend this to those of you looking for a great lip stain!

Essie Stylenomics Fall 2012 Collection Review

Essie Stylenomics Fall 2012 Collection

One thing I love about Essie's seasonal collections is that the colors are timeless while always staying true to their theme. Take a look!

Stylenomics. A dark teal creme. This is slightly greener than your average teal. Zoya Evvie is more faded and gray. OPI Ski Teal we drop is bluer. Nicole by OPI Khloe Had A Little Lam-Lam is very, very similar and they are potential dupes, but I don't have the Nicole to compare with.

Skirting the Issue. A dark, berry/red creme. This one is  a lot redder in real life than it looks in the picture :) .  To give you an idea of the real color, it's a dupe of Color Club Style Icon. OPI I'm Suzi and I'm a Chocoholic is slightly more brown.

Recessionista. A dark berry/purple color. This one is also different in the picture, its a lot darker, more reddish-purple. It looks exactly like China Glaze Purr-fect Plum. Zoya Toni is more purple and faded.

Miss Fancy Pants. A creamy greige with a hint of mauve. Essie Glamour Purse is less beige, more grey, so is OPI Berlin There Done That. Zoya Jana is similar, but more purple-toned and lighter.

Head Mistress. Now, you have to see this in real life to truly appreciate this. It's a bold, fiery, cherry red creme. To give you a picture of the color, think of China Glaze Hey Sailor! I love it, but I could name about a dozen dupes for this...

Don't sweater it. A soft, putty grey creme with a tan undertone. Less pink than the picture, though it does have some mauve undertones. Almost identical to OPI Berlin There Done That.

The Big Picture:
Pros: All of the formulas are great. They flow well, they're opaque, and dry super-glossy. Very appropriate for fall! Lovely colors, most of them are universally flattering.
Cons: The colors in this collection were way too dupe-able for my liking!

Skin Tone Suggestions:

Stylenomics: This would best flatter someone with cool or neutral undertones, especially an olive complexion.
Skirting the issue: This would be universally flattering undertone-wise, but it would look especially good on a tan to a dark complexion.
Recessionista: I think this one would flatter everyone!
Miss Fancy Pants: Also universally flattering!
Head Mistress: Careful with this one. If you have strong cool or green undertones, this may not be the one for you.
Don't Sweater It: Universally flattering.

Thanks for reading!
