China Glaze Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection Review

The new China Glaze Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection! When I saw the promo pictures of this, my heart skipped a beat. This collection is made up of DUOCHROMES! I don't know if the name "Luster Chrome" implies that they are duochromes, or simply have a chrome finish. I guess it doesn't really matter...Just look at these beautiful colors!
Unpredictable. A blue-toned green and gold duochrome. This is like a more blue toned version of Rare and Radiant. I really like this one.

Want my Bawdy. This is a really rich indigo with a subtle purple duochrome. The color shift in this one isn't as strong as the others, but it's still there.

Rare and Radiant. A green and gold duochrome. Looks like a Chanel Peridot/ OPI Just Spotted the Lizard/ Jessica Iridescent Eye dupe. I can think of a few other colors that would be close, but not exact dupes. I like colors like this, but this one really isn't that unique.

Swanky Silk. A champagne with a peachy pink duochrome. In pictures of this, I can make out a really subtle green shift, but it's very small and only in the right light. Looks like a dupe of Deborah Lippmann Sugar Daddy. This is a pretty one!

No Plain Jane. A purple with a pinkish-gold duchrome. Not the strongest color shift, but a nice color! Reminds me of Deborah Lippmann Private Dancer. It could be close to Nails Inc. Cheyne Walk from their Mirror Metallics, too.

Deviantly Daring. A teal with a blue duochrome. The blue hardly shows up on the nail, though.

The Big Picture
Pros: Amazing duochrome finishes. And I think the names are pretty cool, too! The formula on all of these were great.

Cons: At least three of the polishes in this have close cousins if not dupes, which disappointed me a little.

Overall, a nice collection! I love the duochrome finishes. If I had to pick up one from this collection, it would probably be Unpredictable. Really cool for fall!

Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12- Hour Lipstick

This is Tarte's new lipstick infused with Amazonian clay. There are eight shades availible at Sephora ($26 for 0.07oz.)

Playful. A rose with purple tones.

Pure. A pale, peachy rose.

Whimsy. A light, flirty pink

Wild. A cool red.

Fierce. A bright warm red.

Bold. A pretty coral shade.

Foxy. A slightly cool, deep pink.

Inspired. A medium rose.
Skin tone suggestions:
Fair: Because dark colors can sometimes wash out the rest of your facial features, if you are going for a night out go with Fierce, not Wild. Others colors that would balance and contrast your skin would be Pure, Whimsy, and Bold.

Olive/Tan: You're lucky, reds work well with you. Go with Fierce and Wild for a night out, or for a daring look! Also, try Playful, Bold, and Inspired.

Medium: If you want a red, try Wild, cooler-tones flatter you best. Otherwise, Playful, Foxy, and Inspired.

Dark: If you wear Pure with sparkly gloss, you could pull off an eye-catching look! Lucky you, you can wear Wild and Fierce. Playful is a nice casual look for you, it complements your skin, but if you want to try out Foxy, we recommend blending it out a little.

Deep: For a casual day, try Inspired and Playful. Wild suits your skin better than Fierce for a night out. You can also pull off Foxy well.

The Big Picture:
Pros: Gorgeous packaging. Look at the lid. Its pretty. The Amazonian Clay in it gives the lipstick hydrating properties and nourishes your lips. Also a reasonable price for the amount of product.

Cons: Just something we noticed- it seems like the color of the lid pattern and the color of the lipstick are supposed to be coordinated, but on some of them the bullet color and the pattern color aren't the same. I hope it's not intended.

SkinTone Suggestions:
Fair: the pink/red lipsets may make you look paler, so if you don't prefer that, go with the peach or nude.
Olive/Tan: With your skintone, you can try out anything! Go for it!:)
Medium: The Nude palette may be light for your skin and may make your lips stand out. If you don't prefer this, go with the pink lip set!
Dark: Being a Dark, I know that sometimes, extremely bright colors can be a mess. That's why, go with the red set or the peach set for your best look.
Deep: I would suggest the Nude for a good contrast or a light coat of pink.

The Big Picture:
Pros: MAC is a great reliable brand. Their lip products are amazing and world renowned! Their Dazzleglass Cremes, I feel is absolutely great! The purple eyeshadow palette is great for a casual day or a night out and their eye palettes will look great on any skintone! Plus, though it is expensive, if you have saved up and are looking for value, this may be a good buy for you. The cosmetics bags have fun and pretty designs, and are great for travel!
Cons: This is an expensive set. This are mostly repromote colors and because of this you may not want to splurge.

Enjoy!

The Big Picture!
Pros: If you're bright and adventurous with your makeup this may be the palette for you! Also, Urban Decay is known for its great eye products. Their shadows have generally amazing wear, pigmentation, and texture. The black eyeliner in the palette(Perversion) is a 24/7 eyeliner which are award winning and by experience, a go-to eyeliner. The colors and quality definitely make up for the price and it includes the best of Urban Decay.

Cons: This was a great palette, so there weren't many cons! One of the things we disliked was that the colors in this weren't very diverse. If you want a palette that you can create many looks with, this may not be the one for you.

Urban Decays Smoked is a great palette with really cool colors. We totally recommend it.

Meg and Sabz
