Butter London Nail Lacquers Fall/Winter Collection 2012 Review

"Rich texture was heavily featured on the catwalks this season – Sequins! Velvet! Satin! Tweed!
We’ve translated this look for nails through the infusion of glitter particles, metallic finishes, and holographic glitter. Colour tones speak to “earthiness” but are not specifically earth tones – think rust instead of earth, holographic greens and silvers instead of plant elements. Colours feel future-forward but not futuristic.  This season is about using texture to add interest and depth to your look."

The five new nail lacquers from Butter London's Fall/Winter 2012 collection are pretty interesting like a lot of Butter Londons colors! Have a look:

Lovely Jubbly. One thing I love to do with Butter London polishes is to just say the names of them in my head, but with a British accent. I just can't help it, especially one's like "Lovely Jubbly"! Does anyone else do that, or is it just me? Anyway, Lovely Jubbly is a mix of bright magenta, reddish-fuchsia, blue, and gold microglitter in a clear base. This glitter is nice and opaque. It's a gorgeous color.

Dodgy Barnett. This is a greyish-silver holographic polish. It doesn't look like a holo in the bottle, but it's definitely one. Super gorgeous in real life and totally worth checking out.

Trustafarian. This is gold in real life even though it looks more silver/platinum in the picture. This is another holographic polish as well. Loving these holos, Butter London!

Gobsmacked. This is a such a deep grey, even though it looks black in the photo. The charcoal grey is the base with lots of small silver glitter and silver microglitter. I've always loved the combination of black with silver glitter, and this polish is no exception! But seriously, try saying "Gobsmacked" with a British accent...

Shag. A beautiful, rusty orange with a semi-foil finish. This is such a fall appropriate color, and it really glows in real life. I really, really love this polish!

The Big Picture:
Pros: Overall, a very nice collection. It was a pleasant surprise to see Butter London do holographic polishes, and I think they came out really nicely. All of the colors are absolutely wonderful! Butter London really never fails to disappoint me, and the colors aren't very "dupe-able" at all!
Cons: The only con that I can think of is that Butter Londons cost $14.

Totally recommend checking this collection out. It's a great variety of finishes that you would never expect to see in the same collection-glitter, holo, foil- and the fabulous formula and the highly unique colors justify the slightly high price point.
